Beautiful, wild and rugged; Lityua Bay, Alaska is one of my favorites. Home to Mt Fairweather and the world's tallest recorded wave (1740 feet), It is also known for extremely dangerous waters at it's entrance.
Taken in Icy Straits, S.E. Alaska from my ten foot inflatable boat......close enough to touch. At the same time two more humpbacks were as close, moving directly underneath me. My description: Whale of a Tale of a Whale's Tail
